New Years in Paris sounds wonderful. Thanks for the recommendations on what to watch. My husband loves documentaries, it’s been a dreary start to the New Year in Minnesota. Your recipes will help get us through.

Thank you for great tips as always, I love how you show us how doable elegance. You seem to enjoy the company you eat with as much as the recipes you make. (= I do have one question, what 6 recipes of yours would you say are 6 great staples?

That's a great question for the next “Ask Ina” on December 20th. Thank you! xx

I can whole heartedly recommend End of an Era, Ina! Taylor seems to have a similar leadership style to you, and I think you'll enjoy it. x

I recently joined here. I just want to say a very heartfelt Thank You for your books and your cooking videos, especially. You’ve inspired me to reorganize my kitchen and invest in some good cookware! Your warm demeanor and simple explanations are so appreciated! My favorite line, “How easy is that?”!

I have a bday in Feb and would love a coconut cake. Perhaps someone would bake a cake if I provided the perfect recipe.,..

Your tent photo reminds me of our own honeymoon tent photo. Like you we married very young and with $500, a beat up old Volkswagen, a tent, a puppy, plenty of peanut butter and oatmeal, and no job waiting for us upon our return, we set off on a 6 week cross country trip. We had the time of our lives. Have a photo but your system wouldn't allow me to paste it.

Well, through the years we have hosted many a gathering from Ambassadors to family holidays.

Memories that last a lifetime.

Happy New Year Ina! Thank you for sharing the picture of you NYE spread and your advice which is spot on..I was an ambitious cook from a very young age, (I catered my own 18th birthday party from The Silver Palate Cookbook) however a perfect roast chicken, your recipe in fact (!) is the cornerstone and an essential to an beginner cooks repertoire. Additionally, I wanted to congratulate you on you on your memoir, it was on of my favorite reads of 2025!
